Studies on resveratrol show promising benefits for all. I'll give you a summary of what the benefits of resveratrol supplements are, then I'll back it up with a little from the research being done on the molecule.
Here are the potential effects of resveratrol on the body, listed in bullet point form.
Studies on resveratrol and health show promise for all. But where did all this information come from?
The original study was conducted by a Dr David Sinclair - that's where most of the information showing the benefits of resveratrol supplements came from. In his scientific journal Nature (2003), Sinclair studied the effects of resveratrol on mice models, which prompted a plethora of investigations, scientific journals, TV shows, documentaries, and recommendations on resveratrol supplements by famous celebs like Dr Oz, and Oprah.
Similar studies were done by the scientist Yang (in 1997) backing up claims that resveratrol can aid in the prevention and treatment of breast cancer.
In 2003, University Louis Pasteur (Strasbourg) in conjunction with Sirtris pharmaceuticals conducted a study which proved that resveratrol supplements greatly increase metabolic rate in both humans and mice. Greatly increased metabolic rate implies a vast increase in energy levels, alertness, and mental acuity.
